Samuels named McDonald’s All-American
Newark, NJ (2-11-2008) – Samardo Samuels has been named a McDonald’s All-American, and will play in the annual high school all-star game on March 26, 2008 at the Bradley Center in Milwaukee. Samuels is ranked as the No. 2 prospect in the nation in the ESPN 150 and the Scout.com Class of 2008 rankings.
The McDonald’s All-American Team is the best-known of the American high school basketball All-American teams. Many of the biggest stars in American basketball have been McDonald’s All-Americans. The list of past team honorees includes Baron Davis, Kevin Durant, Kobe Bryant, Michael Jordan, Shaquille O’Neal, Chris Webber, Magic Johnson, Grant Hill, Paul Pierce, LeBron James, Carmelo Anthony, Kevin Garnett, Amare Stoudemire, Jason Kidd, and Dwight Howard.
