Soon, you will be submitted to a barrage of twisted and invented “facts,” spurious allegations and putrid slander directed against the president of the United States. The objective will be to discredit President Obama in preparation for the 2012 elections. The Republicans’ hatchet man will be a member of Congress named Darrell Issa.
(For the Jamaicans reading this, I can find no link between this man and the prominent Jamaican family. He even pronounces his name differently – as eye-sa, instead of iss-sa.)
As Chairman of the House Committee on Oversight and Government Reform, Issa has a free pass to muck rake any- and everywhere. And he has vowed to do whatever he can to obstruct, distract or embarrass the president. He is also quoted as making the astounding accusation that the Obama administration is “the most corrupt” of modern U.S. presidencies!
Now, he will be witch hunting like crazy to prove his preposterous charge.
So before you get hit with the avalanche of lies that’s heading your way, you might want to know a little about the man behind the smear campaign.
The Cleveland-born grandson of Lebanese immigrants, Issa made hundreds of millions inventing and developing electronic gadgets (such as a car alarm). He is said to be the richest person in Congress.
He is also said to be a firebug, car thief and scam artist.
In California, where he lives and does his politicking, there have been reports of things like Issa firing someone by threatening him with a gun, repeated accusations of car theft and allegations that he burned down his business after increasing his insurance. Issa denies everything, and hasn’t been convicted. His brother, William, took the fall in the car theft case.
Make no mistake: This man is dangerous. He is undeniably brilliant, and obviously quite amoral.
