We host the yearly Christmas Dinner. It is a time to celebrate the birth of Christ with food, fellowship and games. What I look forward to the most is the “heated discussions”. There are normally about 2-3 topics where all the Jamaican males “battle” to get their points across. Today there was nothing. No heated discussion on the sports. None on US politics. None on Jamaican politics. None on the US economy. None on “what Jamaica needs”. I can’t put my finger on what happened this year but I miss these heated discussions…I wonder if my dinner prayer about God’s Christmas gift to man took away those heated discussion gifts to me 😕
