  • In Jamaica, up in the hills of the Santa Cruiz mountains anyway, as kids in the Elementary school yard, we would sometimes get in a disagreement that could not be settled peacefully. The challenger would say to his opponent, “If you think you bad, touch a button ” or the challenger would draw a line in the dirt and give his opponent the same challenge, “If you think you bad, cross the line.” No matter what the challenge was, if the opponent touched the button in question, or crossed the line, he would instantly be struck down, and the battle would begin. It is quite clear to me that Gaddafi has touched the button, or crossed the line and should be struck down promptly. It has been said that power corrupts, and absolute power corrupts absolutely, and it is qute clear that Gaddafi, believes that he has absolute power. If the United Nations were supported by the leading Nations of the world, like the US, Russia and China, they should be the ones to step up to the plate in situations like this and remove the offending Dictator, stabilize the situation, organize an honest and fair election then get the h@#$% out. We have no right to tell anyone how to run their country but we should not sit idly by and watch innocent people get slaughted if we can help it. I know many would accuse the US if they went in alone, but they could organize and lead the UN in and stop the killing. Billy G.
