Do you know when is” Pickney Chrismus” in Jamaica?
Easter was considered ” Pickney Chrismus” by slaves in Jamaica as it was the only other time next to Christmas they could celebrate. The celebration period was shorter hence it was called ” Pickney Chrismus”. Note: Pickney means Child in Jamaican patois.
