Does this confirm what many thought of the media

A story out of Brazil says that a host of a crime show seemed to encourage killings to boost the rating of the show. This seems to confirm the thought that the media will do anything for ratings. I remember in the 1980’s and 1990’s when our Fox affiliate used to report on crimes. They seem to interview the person who looked most “unprepared” to be on TV or the enforce a stereotype in about a particular neighborhood. They had the best news rating as they seem to be first at every crime scene. It was almost like they were called first before the crime was committed
