J’can juniors were ambushed at home

AT the risk of again attracting the ire of die-hard Jamaican fans, I reassert that the islands seem to be closing in on us in track and field — at the junior level — and that we perennially top the Carifta Championships by virtue of our all-round depth and superior exposure.

A year ago, I ventured onto what I discovered to be unpopular ground by suggesting that at the age-group stage, Jamaica is by no means the dominant force it was a few years ago, for whatever reasons. Read more >>
