JAMAICA’S top junior track and field athletes will start their quest to represent the island at the IAAF World Youth Championships in Lille, France in early July and the Pan-American Junior Track and Field championships in Florida two weeks later as the JAAA/Supreme Ventures National Junior Trials gets underway at the National Stadium, starting at 11:00 am.
The athletes will return to competition after a six-week break after the Penn Relays and CARIFTA Games in April and the two-day event is expected to be competitive and exciting, especially in the Under-18 section where Jamaica is expected to field one of their best teams in a long time at the global championships.
