Oh Africa I hear your land is rich
while many are poor upon the land
If that is true
Oh Africa I hear your men
and women dress in splendor
garments while many are poor
upon the land—if that is true
Oh Africa I watch your body
dance with freedom while many
are poor upon your land
if that is true
And you speak in language
some wish to understand
if that is true
Oh Africa i hear you are wise,
proud, sharp, beautiful
while many are poor upon your
land–if that is true
As you shout in Victory to your
success remember me, remember we
If that is true
Oh Africa I hear you’re rich
while so many are poor upon your
land–if that is true
In solitude I squibble this poetic
thoughts, as I think of you
Oh Africa I feel His greatness
As I kneel and pray for true
freedom to dance with you
I look deep within and I know
Who I Am, Oh great Africa.
