On this day in Jamaican History: On July 13, 1962 the motto on the Jamaican Coat of Arms was changed to “Out of Many, One People” . The motto on the banner under the Taino man and woman used to be “INDVS VTERQVE SERVIET VNI”, which is the Latin translation for “The two Indians will serve as one”.
