My sweet Lord, I ask you to keep love in me,
When other’s I love—seem far more worthy,
Beautiful than I: “Calm my emotions!”
When the turbulences may shake, the very essence of me:
Lord, I ask you to keep my soul—beautiful, at peace,
And let me not loose myself to greed even in the face of adversity:
—when choices seems as if life has cheated me,
Let me remember you—who died on the cross for me,
“Don’t let love betray me!”
And when times comes, let all I do is to honor,
And invest your greatness in me oh so graciously:
“Show me how to be the treasure of your soul,
—the daughter you formed uniquely:
Lord, you are in control—you have no evil in you,
I thank you for all you’ve done for me beautifully:
“Please remember me always Lord, your precious, Journee!”
