Poem: Let Me Have This Dance

I wanted you to ask me, my Love,

Back then, when I trusted you:

In and out of my dream,

“Let me have this dance!”

Under the moonlight,

And we gaze, where stars shine

As you watch me smile,

In silence our heart, speak love:

Songbirds’ day and night;

Heart beat in sync—you and I:

I wanted you to ask me,

“Let me have this dance!

Only if you can bring, my heart a smile:

As I lay my head to rest,  wishing you,

A pleasant goodnight:

We dance on the clouds, in the rain,

And the bright, morning sunshine,

When I believe, truly believe, our love,

Was pure, true, 'Yes—serene!

Its a challenge, still I am grateful that I am becoming awakening to my own flaws and seeing the light of God's greatness. The support of my love ones, my faith, and people who believed in me, I am able to write these poetic thoughts.
