She said I was young and naïve
That is what they saw in me
Still, wisdom speak!
That I was not too experience to see,
Those I encounter, their true intentions,
They did not value my worth
They did not value me
Still, wisdom speak!
She said, they were seeking big things for themselves
That they think will serve them very well:
Those who think superior of themselves
Those who wish not to understand me
Those who did not wanted me to succeed
To have the crown
Amongst the stars–beautifully
Still, wisdom speak!
She said, “I have been your friend, for so long,
“Can’t you see, we are a family?”
I have done you no wrongs even though
You may think so poorly of me
“Let us stay prayed up and remember
The dream is not for you, its’ for a higher purpose
As I listen diligently
‘Yet, I am convince I made it,
Even when the chattering voice echoes negatively:
Be pleasant, be joyful, you’ve got this, I whisper silently:
Still, “wisdom speak!”
