I was watching the NBC news this morning when a segment on Charlie Sheen’s arrest was been discussed. There were two gossip columnists being interviewed. They were smiling with glee as the camera panned in on them. They were “bubbly” and seemed very happy as they discussed the “alleged domestic” abuse. As I watched I realized how the media salivates over others pain. I am not a fan of Charlie Sheen and his show. I certainly do not condone hitting or choking a woman. What I dislike is how happy people are in someone’s pain and suffering regardless of if it is self-inflicted.
