Pittsburgh Steeler star player, James Harrison, is refusing to visit the White House this Thursday for the traditional Super Bowl winner congratulations by the president. He did the same thing in 2006 when the Steelers won and Bush was in office. Below is his explanation.
“This is how I feel — if you want to see the Pittsburgh Steelers, invite us when we don’t win the Super Bowl. As far as I’m concerned, he [Obama] would’ve invited Arizona if they had won.”
Yes, Mr Harrison it is a tradition and if your team lost you would not have been invited. Why the silly act. If it was politically motivated I could understand but the explanation given just seems silly and lame. Regardless of your political persuasion meeting the President is suppose to be a good thing. I guess he won’t have any stories to tell the kids or grand kids.
