Take A Walk On The Wild Side

” If we listened to our intellect we’d never have a love affair. We’d never have a friendship. We’d never go into business, because we’d be too cynical. Well, that is nonsense. You’ve got to jump of cliffs all the time and build your wings on the way down.”
Annie Dillard

From the time we were born we were given a set of rules to live by. While rules are necessary for any society or organization to function effectively; they have inadvertently  created within us the need to remain prisoners “of the stay within the box” mentality.

We are a people for the most past who are afraid to take risks of any kind. We want what is good, but at the same time too afraid to jump off the mountain. Also in or attempt to validate our cowardliness, we judge and criticize those mavericks among us. If we were to accept the truth for what it is we would realize that we have been socialized to be conformists.

Sometimes we need to be spontaneous and do something so outside of the box, our heart palpitates at the speed of a moving train.
Do something silly!
Do something fun!
Do something that makes you smile and scream and shout and SCREEEEEM AGAIN!
Life is too short. Make time to live it to the full.
Positive Affirmation: Today I will give myself permission to release my inner child and take a walk on the wild side.
Have you ever taken a walk on the wild side and done something totally out of the box?
