This day in Jamaican History -on March 27, 1923 Jamaican-American Poet, critic, and educator Louis Simpson was born in Kingston, Jamaica. He migrated to the United States in 1940. He won the 1964 Pulitzer Prize for Poetry for his work At The End Of The Open Road.
