On this day in Jamaican History: On November 2, 2012, Jamaican Devon Clunis was sworn in as the 17th chief of the Winnipeg Police Service during a ceremony at City Hall. His the first Black Police Chief in Canada’s History. Chief Devon Clunis began his career with the Winnipeg Police Service in 1987. Below is video of the swearing in ceremony.
