Many great achievements commence with tiny steps, but Windward Road’s Aaron Thompson yesterday took a huge stride in pursuit of his dreams to one day represent Jamaica on the Olympic and World Championship stages in four disciplines.
Thompson was responsible for the first record to be broken by a male athlete at the 32nd staging of the INSPORTS All-Age and Junior High Athletics Championship being held over three days at the National Stadium. His leap of 6.11 metres in the Class One boys’ long jump bettered the old mark of 6.07m set by Shaquille McLeod last year. Read more >>
