Commissioner Roger Goodell is in tough place. What will he do with Ben Roethlisberger (Big Ben)? Will he suspend him? Will the suspension be short or long? Will it be compared to the punishment what he has doled out to other NFL players, mainly the black players. It has become a hot topic being that there is a race element to it.
Commissioner Goodell has been quick to suspend players for conduct reason even when they have not been found guilty of anything. Most of these players are black. Many are asking why it is taking so long for him to make a decision on Big Ben. Many are asking “Is it because he is white?”
Is the racial element in this whole discussion fair when the majority of the players who get in trouble are black? In the next few days we will know what will happen to Big Ben and I am sure it will spark the race discussion even more…Lost in all this is the original alleged sex charges and the pattern. Will women’s groups be upset by him just receiving a suspension?
