Your Song in my head

I heard you sang so sweet, gentle,
Professing your love to her, to him
And it sounded so sweet in your
Foreign tongue words that I wish I
Could understand
Words I wish to understood
Yet it sound so sweet, so romantic

I heard you sang so beautifully and I
Saw no color between you and I,
Just for today I thought about
how special you are, how special I am
With your beautiful voice,
words I cannot understand,
Words I wish to understood
And I thank you for carrying my heart
To your world for a moment, a day
and all I could think about is your
songs that take me away
As you sang so gentle in your foreign tongue
Words that I cannot even understand
Words I wish to understood

As you profess your love to her, to him,
I heard you sang so sweet, so gentle,
I heard you sang and sang and I began
to hum, smile, dance away with you
in my head, words I cannot even understand
words I wish to understood, just your song
only in my head.

About the author

I was born in Jamaica West Indies, immigrated to the United States of America at the tender age of ten. I've had the great privilege as an uprising reggae singer to perform as an open act for various great singers like Dennis Brown, Calypso Rose and others I admired. I also had the great opportunity to meet Dr. Bettye Shabazz and other great leaders. Because of my divine supreme using giants and various people to help develop within and allowed the higher God consciousness of my mind to see the greatness and love in me. I consider myself a wildflower, singer, poet, writer, and a great performer. I am working on strengthening all areas of my spiritual gifts. Peace and Blessings!
