Zagreb Track Meet Results

Men’s 100m

Usain Bolt won the men’s 100m at the #IAAF World Challenge Meeting in Zagreb, Croatia. Bolt didn’t get the world lead (which still belongs to Asafa Powell) after he got a poor start and had to chase down Kim Collins before passing and pulling away to win in a Meeting Record of 9.85s. Kim Collins was second in 10.01s, Richard Thompson 3rd in 10.03s and Jamaica’s other participant Mario Forsythe 4th in 10.16s.

Women’s 100m

The American Carmelita Jeter continued her winning ways, when she won the women’s 100m event at the #IAAF World Challenge Meeting in Zagreb, Croatia. Jeter clocked 11.00s to finish ahead of Jamaica’s Schillonie Calvert (11.13s) and Bulgaria’s Ivet Lalova (11.33s).

Women’s 200m

Jamaica’s Schillonie Calvert destroyed the field in the women’s 200m a short while ago at the #IAAF World Challenge Meeting in Zagreb, Croatia. Calvert who slashed more than a second off her personal best had never gone below the 23.00s mark until today. She clocked a new PB OF 22.55s, to finish ahead of another Jamaican Sherone Simpson (22.95s) and the Bahamian Debbie Ferguson-McKenzie (22.97s).

Women’s 400m

Jamaica’s Novlene Williams-Mills continued her good end of season form when she won the women’s 400m at the #IAAF World Challenge Meeting in Zagreb, Croatia. Williams-Mills clocked 50.31s to finish ahead of the Russian Anastasiya Kapachinskaya (50.40s) and compatriot Shericka Williams (50.45s).

Men’s 110m hurdles

Jamaica’s Dwight Thomas finished 4th in the men’s 110mH event at the #IAAF World Challenge Meeting in Zagreb, Croatia a short while ago. Thomas clocked 13.25s to finish behind winner Dayron Robles (13.00s) who once again got the better of Jason Richardson (13.04s) and David Oliver (13.20s).
